# Fees & Services

> Configure your inspection fees, taxes, discounts, and additional services.

Fees & Services lets you manage your inspection pricing, tax settings, default discounts, and additional services.

These settings help streamline Work Order creation by keeping your standard pricing and services readily available.

## Access Fees & Services

1. Select **Settings** from the main navigation.
2. Choose **Business Settings**.
3. Select **Fees & Services** from the left-hand menu.

You'll see three sections: **Inspection Fee & Taxes**, **Default Discount**, and **Ancillary Services**.

## Inspection Fee & Taxes

Configure your standard inspection fee and applicable taxes.

| Setting | Description |
| - | - |
| **General Inspection Fee** | Your standard fee for a general home inspection. |
| **Tax Rate (%)** | The tax percentage applied to your inspection services. |
| **Tax Code Name** | The name of your applicable tax, such as HST or GST. |

Enter your preferred values in the corresponding fields.

These settings provide the standard pricing information used when preparing Work Orders.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Tax requirements vary by jurisdiction. Ensure your tax rate and tax code reflect the requirements applicable to your business.

## Default Discount

You can configure a discount that is automatically applied when creating Work Orders.

The default discount is used when a Work Order doesn't have its own discount.

### Configure a Default Discount

1. Locate the **Default Discount** section.
2. Choose your preferred discount type:
   * **\$ Dollar** — A fixed dollar amount.
   * **% Percentage** — A percentage-based discount.
3. Enter the discount amount or percentage.

If you don't want to offer a default discount, leave the value at **0**.

> [!TIP]
>
> You can specify a different discount on an individual Work Order without changing your business-wide default.

## Ancillary Services

Ancillary Services are additional inspection services you offer beyond a general home inspection.

InspectIQ provides an editable service catalog that you can customize for your business.

Examples of ancillary services include:

* Pool & Spa
* Radon Testing
* Mold
* WDI/Termite
* Thermal Imaging
* Sewer Scope
* Asbestos Sampling

You can rename services, adjust their pricing, add your own, or remove services you don't offer.

### Edit an Existing Service

1. Locate the service in the **Ancillary Services** list.
2. Click the service name to rename it.
3. Update its price in the adjacent field.

This allows you to maintain your service catalog as your pricing or offerings change.

### Add a New Service

1. Scroll to the bottom of the Ancillary Services list.
2. Select **+ Add Service**.
3. Enter the service name.
4. Enter the service price.

The new service is added to your catalog.

### Enable or Disable a Service

Each service includes an **ON/OFF** toggle.

* **ON** — The service is available to select when creating new Work Orders.
* **OFF** — The service is hidden from new Work Orders.

This is useful when you temporarily stop offering a service but want to retain it in your catalog.

### Delete a Service

To remove a service from your catalog, select the **X** beside its name.

> [!NOTE]
>
> If you only want to hide a service temporarily, use the OFF toggle instead of deleting it.

## Using Your Pricing in Work Orders

When creating a Work Order, your configured fees and services provide a starting point for inspection pricing.

You can:

* Use your standard general inspection fee.
* Include applicable taxes.
* Apply the default discount or specify a different one.
* Select additional services from your enabled Ancillary Services catalog.

This helps keep pricing consistent while allowing flexibility for individual inspections.

## Before Creating Your First Work Order

Review the following:

* Your General Inspection Fee is correct.
* Your Tax Rate and Tax Code Name are configured.
* Your Default Discount reflects your pricing policy.
* Your Ancillary Services list includes the services you offer.
* Each service has the correct price.
* Unavailable services are switched OFF.

> [!TIP]
>
> Keep your Fees & Services settings up to date so you don't have to repeatedly adjust pricing when creating Work Orders.
