# How to Set Up Your InspectIQ Account — Profile & App Setup

> Create your account, fill in your profile, add your business details, and get the mobile app installed so you're ready to inspect.

Getting your InspectIQ account set up properly takes less than ten minutes, and it's worth doing thoroughly — the details you enter here appear on every report you send to clients. Work through the steps below in order and you'll be fully configured before your next job.

## Create Your Account

**1. Go to the InspectIQ sign-up page**

Open your web browser and navigate to [app.inspectiq.com/signup](https://app.inspectiq.com/signup). No software installation is needed for the web dashboard.

**2. Enter your email address and create a password**

Type in the email address you want to use for your InspectIQ account and choose a strong password. Your email address will be used for login, notifications, and client correspondence, so use a professional address if you have one.

**3. Verify your email**

Check your inbox for a verification email from InspectIQ and click the **Confirm Email** button inside it. If you don't see it within a couple of minutes, check your spam folder.

**4. Log in for the first time**

Once your email is verified, return to [app.inspectiq.com](https://app.inspectiq.com) and sign in with your new credentials.

> [!TIP]
>
> Use a password manager to generate and store a strong password. You'll be logging into both the web dashboard and the mobile app, so keeping it saved saves time.

## Complete Your Profile

Your personal profile stores the contact details that appear in your reports and client communications. Keep these accurate and up to date.

**1. Open Profile Settings**

Click your name or avatar in the top-right corner of the dashboard, then select **Profile Settings** from the dropdown menu.

**2. Enter your full name and contact details**

Fill in your **First Name**, **Last Name**, **Phone Number**, and confirm your **Email Address**. These details appear in emails and various reports you produce.

**3. Upload a profile photo**

Click **Upload Photo** and select a clear, professional headshot from your device. A profile photo adds a personal touch to your reports and helps clients put a face to the name.

**4. Save your changes**

Click **Save Profile** at the bottom of the page. A green confirmation banner confirms your details have been updated.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Your profile photo is optional but recommended — inspectors who include one report higher client trust scores in post-inspection surveys.

## Set Up Your Business Profile

Your business profile controls the branding and legal details shown on every report. Clients will see your business name, logo, and licence number, so take a moment to fill this in carefully.

**1. Navigate to Business Settings**

From the left sidebar, click **Settings**, then select **Business Profile**.

**2. Enter your business name and contact details**

Add your **Business Name**, **Business Phone Number**, **Business Email Address**, and **Business Website** (if you have one). These appear prominently in the report header.

**3. Upload your business logo**

Click **Upload Logo** and choose an image file (PNG or JPG, minimum 300 × 300 px recommended). Your logo appears at the top of every PDF report. Use a version with a transparent or white background for the cleanest result.

**4. Add your ABN or licence number**

Enter your **ABN** (Australian Business Number) and any relevant **Licence Numbers** or professional memberships in the fields provided. These details satisfy legal and professional disclosure requirements in most states and territories.

**5. Enter your business address**

Fill in your full business address. This appears in the report footer and on any client-facing correspondence generated by InspectIQ.

**6. Save your business profile**

Click **Save Business Profile**. Your branding will now be applied to all new reports automatically.

> [!TIP]
>
> If you operate under multiple trading names or service different regions, check out **Settings → Business Settings** for options to manage multiple profiles under the one account.

## Download the Mobile App

The InspectIQ mobile app is where you'll spend most of your time on-site. It works on both iPhone and Android, and supports offline mode so patchy site Wi-Fi never slows you down.

**1. Download the app for your device**

* **iPhone / iPad:** Search for **InspectIQ** in the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com) or tap the link in your setup checklist email.
* **Android:** Search for **InspectIQ** in [Google Play](https://play.google.com) or tap the link in your setup checklist email.

**2. Log in with your InspectIQ credentials**

Open the app and tap **Log In**. Enter the same email and password you created in the web sign-up step above.

**3. Allow required permissions**

When prompted, allow InspectIQ access to your **Camera** and **Photo Library** — these are essential for capturing inspection photos. You can also allow **Location** access to auto-populate the property address when you're on-site.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Keep the app updated to the latest version to access new features and AI improvements as they're released. Enable automatic updates in your device settings to stay current without thinking about it.

## Log In on Multiple Devices

You can use InspectIQ on as many devices as you like — your data syncs automatically across your phone, tablet, and web browser. Simply download the mobile app or open the web dashboard on each device and log in with the same credentials. There's no limit on the number of simultaneous sessions.

> [!TIP]
>
> If you work with a team, each inspector needs their own InspectIQ account. Head to **Settings → Team** to invite colleagues and manage their access levels.
