# How to Conduct a Full Home Inspection with InspectIQ

> Learn how InspectIQ guides you through every step of a home inspection, from opening your work order to completing and delivering your final report.

InspectIQ is designed to keep you moving efficiently on-site. Whether you're inspecting a single-family home or a large commercial property, the app walks you through a consistent workflow — helping you capture photos, record findings, and generate a polished report without missing a beat.

## The Inspection Workflow

Here's how a typical inspection flows inside InspectIQ, from the moment you arrive to the moment you wrap up:

**1. Open Your Work Order**

From the **Home** screen, tap the work order for today's inspection. Review the property details, client information, and any notes added during scheduling.

**2. Start the Inspection**

Tap **Start Inspection** to activate the inspection session. InspectIQ loads your template and sets up all the areas and sections for the property type.

**3. Navigate Areas**

Move through each area of the property — such as Roof, Foundation, Kitchen, or Electrical Panel — using the area list. Tap any area to open it and begin documenting.

**4. Capture Photos**

Use the in-app camera to photograph each area and any items you want to document. Add annotations to highlight specific concerns directly on the photo.

**5. Record Findings**

Add findings for defects, maintenance items, and observations. Assign a severity level, write a description, and attach photos to each finding.

**6. Use AI-Generated Findings**

Let InspectIQ's AI analyze your photos and suggest findings automatically. Review the suggestions, edit as needed, and accept what's accurate.

**7. Review and Edit**

When you've covered every area, do a final pass through your findings. Check descriptions, confirm severity ratings, and make sure every item is complete.

**8. Complete the Inspection**

Tap **Complete Inspection** to finalize your session. InspectIQ compiles everything into your report, ready to review and deliver to your client.

> Before heading to the job site, take a moment to open the work order and review the property details. If you expect limited cell service, download the inspection for offline use so all your templates, finding libraries, and property data are available without a connection.
