# Review and Edit Findings Before Completing Your Report

> Learn how to review, edit, reorder, and finalize your inspection findings in InspectIQ before sending a polished report to your client.

Before you complete an inspection, InspectIQ gives you a dedicated review screen where you can fine-tune every finding—whether it came from the AI assistant or you wrote it yourself. Here you can update titles, descriptions, severity levels, and photos; reorder or move findings between areas; add recommendations; and bulk-mark items as reviewed so nothing slips through the cracks.

## Accessing the Findings Review Screen

**1. Open the inspection**

From your **Dashboard**, tap the inspection you want to review.

**2. Tap 'Review Findings'**

On the inspection overview screen, tap the **Review Findings** button. This opens the findings review screen, which lists every finding across all areas in one scrollable view.

**3. Filter or search if needed**

Use the **Filter** menu at the top to narrow the list by area, severity, or review status. Tap the search icon to find a specific finding by keyword.

> [!TIP]
>
> Review your findings on-site before you leave the property. If you spot a gap—a missing photo, an unclear description, or an area you haven't visited yet—you can fix it immediately while the details are fresh and the property is still accessible.

## Editing a Finding

**1. Tap the finding you want to edit**

In the findings review screen, tap any finding to open its detail view.

**2. Edit the title**

Tap the **Title** field and type your changes. Keep titles concise and descriptive—clients read these first.

**3. Edit the description**

Tap the **Description** field to expand the text editor. Write a clear explanation of what you observed, where it is located, and why it matters. Use plain language your client will understand.

**4. Adjust the severity**

Tap the **Severity** selector and choose the appropriate level:

* **Informational** — items to note for awareness, no immediate action needed
* **Low** — minor issues that should be monitored or addressed over time
* **Moderate** — issues that warrant timely repair or further evaluation
* **High** — significant defects requiring prompt attention

**5. Add, replace, or remove photos**

Scroll to the **Photos** section of the finding. Tap **Add Photo** to attach another image, tap an existing photo to replace it, or swipe left on a photo thumbnail and tap **Remove** to delete it.

**6. Save your changes**

Tap **Save** in the top-right corner. Your edits are saved immediately and reflected in the findings list.

## Reordering Findings Within an Area

The order of findings in a given area is the order they appear in the client report. You can rearrange them at any time.

**1. Switch to area view**

In the findings review screen, tap **Group by Area** in the Filter menu to organize findings by area.

**2. Enter reorder mode**

Tap the **Edit Order** button at the top-right of the area section you want to reorganize.

**3. Drag findings into the right order**

Press and hold the drag handle (the three horizontal lines) on the left side of a finding, then drag it up or down to your preferred position.

**4. Tap 'Done'**

Tap **Done** to save the new order. The updated sequence is immediately reflected in the report preview.

## Moving a Finding to a Different Area

If a finding was logged under the wrong area, you can move it without losing any of its details.

**1. Open the finding**

Tap the finding you want to move.

**2. Tap 'Move to Area'**

Scroll to the bottom of the finding detail view and tap **Move to Area**.

**3. Select the destination area**

Choose the correct area from the list of areas in this inspection. The finding moves instantly and disappears from its original area.

## Bulk-Reviewing Multiple Findings

When you have a long list of findings to sign off on, bulk review saves you time.

**1. Tap 'Select' in the findings review screen**

Tap the **Select** button in the top-right corner of the findings review screen. Checkboxes appear next to each finding.

**2. Select the findings to mark as reviewed**

Tap each finding you want to mark, or tap **Select All** at the top to select every finding in the current filtered view.

**3. Tap 'Mark as Reviewed'**

Tap the **Mark as Reviewed** button in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. All selected findings are updated at once, and a green checkmark appears on each one.

***

## Adding a Recommendation or Action Item

Every finding can include one or more recommendations—specific actions you want your client to take.

**1. Open the finding**

Tap the finding you want to update.

**2. Scroll to 'Recommendations'**

Scroll down to the **Recommendations** section within the finding detail view.

**3. Tap 'Add Recommendation'**

Tap **Add Recommendation** and type your action item (e.g., "Have a licensed electrician evaluate and repair the double-tapped breaker").

**4. Set a priority (optional)**

Toggle the **High Priority** switch if this is an action the client should take immediately. High-priority recommendations are highlighted in the client report.

**5. Save the finding**

Tap **Save**. The recommendation is attached to the finding and will appear in the report directly beneath the finding description.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The report preview shows exactly how your findings will appear to the client—formatting, photos, severity badges, and recommendations included. Tap **Preview Report** at any time from the inspection overview screen to check your work before you finalize.
