# Inspection Preferences

> Manage how inspection photos are saved to your device.

Inspection Preferences lets you customize how InspectIQ handles photos captured during inspections.

These preferences apply to your individual account, not your entire inspection team.

## Access Inspection Preferences

1. Select **Settings** from the main navigation.
2. Choose **My Settings**.
3. Select **Inspection Preferences** from the left-hand menu.

## Save Inspection Photos to Device

The **Save Inspection Photos to Device** option allows InspectIQ to save local copies of photos taken during an inspection.

When enabled, photos are saved to a dedicated **InspectIQ** folder on your device, where supported.

This makes it easier to access your inspection photos outside the application.

### Enable or Disable Photo Saving

1. Locate **Save Inspection Photos to Device**.
2. Turn the toggle **ON** to save copies of inspection photos locally.
3. Turn the toggle **OFF** if you don't want additional copies saved to your device.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Your original inspection photos remain stored in InspectIQ regardless of this setting. Turning off local photo saving does not remove photos from your inspections.

## When Should You Enable This?

Saving inspection photos to your device may be useful if you:

* Want personal backup copies of your inspection photos.
* Need to access photos outside InspectIQ.
* Prefer to maintain a local photo library organized by your device.

> [!TIP]
>
> If you enable local photo saving, periodically review your device's available storage space, particularly if you conduct multiple inspections each week.
