# Security

> Manage your InspectIQ account password and security.

Security lets you update your InspectIQ account password to help keep your account protected.

## Access Security Settings

1. Select **Settings** from the main navigation.
2. Choose **My Settings**.
3. Select **Security** from the left-hand menu.

## Change Your Password

To update your account password:

1. Locate the **Change Password** section.
2. Enter your existing password in **Current Password**.
3. Enter your new password in **New Password**.
4. Re-enter your new password in **Confirm New Password**.
5. Select **Update Password** to save your changes.

> Your new password and confirmation must match before your password can be updated.

## Password Security Tips

To help protect your account:

* Use a strong, unique password that you don't use for other accounts.
* Avoid sharing your password with anyone.
* Consider using a password manager to securely store your login credentials.
* Change your password if you suspect someone else has accessed your account.
