# Deliver Inspection Reports to Clients with InspectIQ

> Send inspection reports to clients via secure online link, email, or SMS — and easily track whether they've opened and viewed the report.

Once your report is generated, InspectIQ gives you flexible options for getting it into your client's hands. You can share a secure online link, send an email with a PDF attachment, or fire off a quick SMS — all from within the work order. You can also track whether your client has opened the report, resend it at any time, and download a copy for your own records.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Clients can view their report on any device — phone, tablet, or desktop — directly in their browser. They don't need to download an app or create an InspectIQ account.

## Deliver a Report to Your Client

**1. Open the work order**

From the **Dashboard** or **Jobs** list, tap the work order whose report you want to deliver.

**2. Go to the Report tab**

Tap the **Report** tab inside the work order and confirm your report has been generated. If it hasn't, tap **Generate Report** first.

**3. Tap Deliver Report**

Tap the **Deliver Report** button to open the delivery options panel.

**4. Choose your delivery method**

Select one or more of the following delivery methods:

* **Secure Online Link** — Sends the client a unique URL they can open in any browser.
* **Email with PDF attachment** — Sends an email to the client's address with the report attached as a PDF.
* **SMS with link** — Sends a text message to the client's mobile number containing the secure report link.

**5. Add a personal message (optional)**

Type a short personal message to include with the delivery. This appears above the report link in the email or SMS.

**6. Send**

Tap **Send Report**. InspectIQ delivers the report immediately and logs the delivery time on the work order.

> [!TIP]
>
> Include a brief personal message when delivering the report — something like a thank-you and a note on next steps. It adds a personal touch and helps clients know what to do after reading the report.

## Track Whether Your Client Has Viewed the Report

InspectIQ shows you exactly when your client opens their report. On the **Report** tab of the work order, you'll see a **Delivery Status** section that displays:

* The date and time the report was delivered
* Whether the client has opened the report (**Viewed** or **Not yet viewed**)
* The number of times the report has been viewed

This is useful for following up — if a client says they haven't received the report, you can instantly confirm delivery status and resend if needed.

## Resend or Share the Report Link

If a client loses their link or you need to share the report with someone else (such as a real estate agent), you can resend or copy the link at any time:

* **Resend** — Tap **Resend Report** to send the same link again via email or SMS.
* **Copy Link** — Tap **Copy Link** to copy the secure report URL to your clipboard and share it however you like.

The link remains the same each time, so resending doesn't create a new version.

## Download a PDF Copy

To save a copy of the report for your own records:

1. Open the **Report** tab on the work order.
2. Tap **Download PDF**.
3. The PDF saves to your device and can be stored, printed, or uploaded wherever you need it.

It's a good practice to keep a copy of every report you deliver as part of your business records.

## Report Link Expiry

By default, secure report links remain active for **90 days** after delivery. After that, the link will no longer be accessible to the client. You can adjust the default expiry period in **Settings → Business Settings → Report Templates**.

If a client needs access after a link has expired, simply open the work order and tap **Resend Report** to generate a fresh active link.
