# Configure Your InspectIQ Business Settings and Profile

> Set up your business profile, customise your report templates, manage inspection agreements, and configure your payment and notification settings.

Business Settings is where you configure everything that defines how your business operates inside InspectIQ. From your company logo and ABN to your report templates and payment defaults, this is the central hub for making InspectIQ work the way your business works. Most of these settings only need to be configured once, and they apply automatically to every inspection you run.

> [!TIP]
>
> Complete your Business Settings before you run your first inspection. Getting your profile, report template, and agreement documents set up upfront means every report and client-facing document looks professional from day one.

To access Business Settings, tap **Settings** in the navigation menu and select **Business Settings**.

## Business Profile

Your Business Profile contains the core details that appear on your reports, agreements, and client-facing documents.

* **Business Name** — Your trading name as it appears on reports and emails.
* **ABN / Licence Number** — Your Australian Business Number and inspection licence number (required for compliance in most states).
* **Business Address** — Your registered or trading address.
* **Phone Number** — Your contact number for clients.
* **Logo** — Upload your business logo (PNG or JPG, recommended minimum 300×300px). Your logo appears on the report cover page, headers, and email communications.

Keep this information up to date — it flows through to every report and agreement you generate.

## Report Templates

Report Templates control the look and structure of the inspection reports you deliver to clients.

* **Default Template** — Choose from InspectIQ's built-in layout styles (Classic, Modern, Minimal).
* **Logo** — Confirm or update the logo used in reports (pulled from your Business Profile by default).
* **Brand Colours** — Set a primary and accent colour used for headings, section dividers, and highlights throughout the report.
* **Disclaimer / Footer Text** — Add your standard limitation of liability statement, terms, or any other text that should appear at the end of every report.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Changes to your report template apply to reports generated after the change is saved. Previously delivered reports are not affected.

## Inspection Templates

Inspection Templates let you standardise the areas and findings you inspect on every job, so you're not starting from scratch each time.

* **Area Templates** — Create and manage your default inspection areas (e.g. Roof, Electrical, Plumbing, Interior). You can reorder areas, set which are included by default, and add custom areas for specialist inspection types.
* **Finding Library** — Build and maintain a library of common findings organised by category. When you're on-site, you can pick findings from your library instead of typing them out manually every time.

Well-maintained inspection templates make your on-site process faster and more consistent across your team.

## Agreement Templates

Agreement Templates manage the legal documents you send to clients before an inspection (e.g. pre-inspection agreements and terms of engagement).

* **Upload and manage** agreement documents in PDF or via InspectIQ's built-in agreement editor.
* **Set a default agreement** that automatically attaches to every new work order.
* **Create multiple templates** for different inspection types (residential, commercial, pre-purchase).

Clients sign agreements electronically from within InspectIQ, and signed copies are stored against the work order.

## Payment Settings

Payment Settings is where you connect your payment account and configure your default fee structure.

* **Connect Payment Account** — Link your payment provider to enable online payments. Tap **Connect** and follow the prompts. You must complete this before clients can pay online.
* **Default Inspection Fee** — Set a standard fee that pre-fills automatically on new work orders. You can always override it on individual jobs.
* **Payment Due Date** — Set how many days after the inspection date a payment is considered overdue.

See [Payments](https://help.myinspectiq.com/payments/overview) for a full guide to collecting and tracking payments.

## Notification Settings

Notification Settings control when InspectIQ automatically sends emails or SMS messages to your clients and team members.

**Client notifications:**

* Booking confirmation when a work order is created
* Agreement sent for signing
* Reminder before the inspection date
* Report delivered
* Payment receipt

**Team notifications:**

* Work order assigned
* Inspection scheduled or rescheduled
* Payment received on a job

Toggle each notification on or off to suit your workflow. For SMS notifications, confirm your sending number is active in this section.
