# Manage Your Inspection Team and Roles in InspectIQ

> Invite inspectors, assign user roles, delegate work orders to team members, and track your whole team's activity from the InspectIQ dashboard.

If you run an inspection business with more than one inspector, InspectIQ's team features help you manage your whole operation from one place. You can invite team members, control what each person can access, assign jobs to specific inspectors, and keep an eye on everyone's schedule and activity — without needing separate software or spreadsheets.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Team features are available on select InspectIQ plans. Check your current plan in **Settings → My Settings** to confirm team management is included. If you need to upgrade, visit the InspectIQ website or contact support.

## Invite a Team Member

**1. Go to Team Management**

Tap **Settings** in the navigation menu, then select **Team Management**.

**2. Tap Invite Team Member**

Tap the **+ Invite Team Member** button at the top of the team list.

**3. Enter their details**

Enter the team member's **name** and **email address**.

**4. Assign a role**

Select the appropriate role for this person (see [User Roles](#user-roles) below).

**5. Send the invitation**

Tap **Send Invite**. The team member will receive an email with a link to create their InspectIQ account and join your team. Once they accept, they'll appear in your team list.

## User Roles

InspectIQ has three roles that control what each team member can see and do:

| Role | What They Can Do |
| - | - |
| **Owner** | Full access to everything — team management, billing, all settings, all work orders, and reports. There can only be one Owner per account. |
| **Administrator** | Can manage work orders, assign jobs, view and edit team members, and access most settings. Cannot change billing details or transfer ownership. |
| **Inspector** | Can view and complete their own assigned work orders, capture findings and photos, and generate reports for their jobs. Cannot access other inspectors' jobs, team settings, or billing. |

Choose the right role for each person based on their responsibilities. You can change a team member's role at any time from the team list.

## Assign a Work Order to a Team Member

When you create or edit a work order, you can assign it to a specific inspector on your team:

1. Open the work order (or create a new one).
2. Tap the **Assigned Inspector** field.
3. Select the team member from the list.
4. Save the work order.

The assigned inspector will receive a notification that a job has been assigned to them. The work order will appear in their **Jobs** list. Only the assigned inspector (and Administrators/Owners) can access and edit that work order.

## View Team Activity and Inspection History

Use the **Team Dashboard** to get a real-time view of what your team is working on:

* **Today's Schedule** — See which inspectors have jobs scheduled for today and their current status.
* **Recent Completions** — View inspections completed by your team in the last 7 or 30 days.
* **Inspector Activity Log** — Tap any team member's name to see their full inspection history, including dates, properties, and report delivery status.

> [!TIP]
>
> Check the Team Dashboard at the start of each day to see who has jobs on and whether any work orders are still unassigned. It's the fastest way to stay across your team's workload without making phone calls.

## Remove a Team Member

If someone leaves your team, you can remove their access at any time:

1. Go to **Settings → Team Management**.
2. Tap the team member's name to open their profile.
3. Tap **Remove from Team**.
4. Confirm the removal.

The team member will immediately lose access to InspectIQ and will no longer appear in the assignment list. Their previously completed work orders and reports remain in your account and are not affected.
