InspectIQ turns your inspection data into professional, client-ready reports with a single tap. Once you’ve completed an inspection, the platform compiles your findings, photos, and recommendations into a structured document that reflects your brand and meets industry standards. You can deliver reports as a secure online link or a downloadable PDF — no extra software required.

What a Report Contains

Every report generated in InspectIQ includes the following sections:
  • Cover Page — Your business logo, inspector name, property address, inspection date, and client details.
  • Executive Summary — A high-level overview of the inspection outcome, including the total number of findings and their severity breakdown.
  • Findings by Area — All observations and defects, organised by the areas you inspected (e.g. Roof, Electrical, Plumbing). Each finding includes your description, severity rating, and any attached photos.
  • Photo Gallery — A compiled gallery of all photos captured during the inspection, with captions.
  • Recommendations — Prioritised action items for the client, drawn from your findings.

Available Report Formats

InspectIQ supports two delivery formats:
  • PDF — A fully formatted document you can download, print, or attach to an email.
  • Online Link — A secure, mobile-friendly report your client can view in any browser without needing to download anything or create an account.

Generate a Report

Once you’ve marked an inspection as complete, follow these steps to generate your report:
1

Open the work order

From the Dashboard or Jobs list, tap the completed work order you want to generate a report for.
2

Go to the Reports tab

Inside the work order, tap the Report tab to open the report panel.
3

Review your findings

Check that all findings, photos, and area summaries are complete. Any incomplete sections will be flagged before generation.
4

Generate the report

Tap Generate Report. InspectIQ will compile your data and apply your report template. This usually takes a few seconds.
5

Preview and confirm

Review the report preview to make sure everything looks correct before sending it to your client.

Preview Before Sending

Before you deliver a report to your client, always use the Preview button to review the full report as your client will see it. The preview shows the exact layout, formatting, and content — including your logo, colours, and any disclaimer text. If you spot an error, you can go back to the inspection, make your edits, and regenerate the report.

Customise Your Report Template

You can tailor how your reports look to match your business brand. From Settings → Business Settings → Report Templates, you can:
  • Upload your logo — Appears on the cover page and page headers.
  • Set brand colours — Used for headings, section dividers, and highlights throughout the report.
  • Add a disclaimer or footer text — Appears at the end of the report (e.g. your standard limitation of liability clause).
  • Choose a default template layout — Select from InspectIQ’s built-in template styles.
Set up your report template in Business Settings before you run your first inspection. A branded, consistent report makes a strong impression on clients and looks more professional than a generic layout.
Changes to your report template only apply to reports generated after the change is saved. Previously generated reports keep their original formatting.
