Manage Your Personal Account Settings in InspectIQ

My Settings is where you manage everything specific to your personal InspectIQ account — your profile details, login credentials, notification preferences, and the devices you’re signed in on. These settings are personal to you and don’t affect other team members or your business-wide configuration. To access My Settings, tap your profile avatar or Settings in the navigation menu and select My Settings.

Personal Profile

Your personal profile contains the details that identify you within InspectIQ — particularly relevant if you work as part of a team.

• Full Name — Your name as it appears in work order assignments, report sign-offs, and team activity logs.
• Email Address — The email address used to log in and receive account notifications. See Change Your Email below to update this.
• Phone Number — Your personal contact number.
• Profile Photo — Upload a photo of yourself (optional). This appears in team views and on assigned work orders.

Tap Edit Profile to update any of these fields, then tap Save.

Change Your Password or Email

To update your login credentials:

1. In My Settings, tap Security.
2. To change your password, tap Change Password, enter your current password, then enter and confirm your new password. Tap Save.
3. To change your email address, tap Change Email, enter your new email address, and confirm the change via the verification link sent to your new address.

Use a strong, unique password and update it if you ever think your account has been accessed without your knowledge.

Notification Preferences

Control which notifications InspectIQ sends to you personally. This is separate from the client and team notifications configured in Business Settings — these settings only affect what you receive. You can toggle notifications on or off for:

• Work order assigned to you — Get notified when a job is assigned to your account.
• Inspection reminders — Receive a reminder before an upcoming inspection.
• Payment updates — Get notified when a payment is received on one of your jobs.
• Report viewed by client — Know when a client opens a report you delivered.
• Team activity — Receive updates about team members’ job completions (Owners and Administrators only).

For each notification, you can choose to receive it by In-App, Email, or SMS (or any combination).

Connected Devices and Sessions

The Devices & Sessions section shows every device that is currently signed in to your InspectIQ account. This helps you spot any unfamiliar activity.

• Each session shows the device type, approximate location, and last active time.
• To sign out of a specific device, tap Sign Out next to that session.
• To sign out of all other devices at once, tap Sign Out of All Other Devices.

This is useful if you’ve lost a device, changed phones, or simply want to make sure no old devices still have access to your account.

App Display Preferences

Adjust how InspectIQ looks and feels on your device:

• Dark Mode — Switch between Light, Dark, or System Default (matches your device’s system setting).
• Font Size — Choose from Small, Medium (default), or Large to make on-screen text easier to read during inspections.

These preferences are stored per device, so you can have different display settings on your phone and tablet.

Delete Your Account

If you need to permanently close your InspectIQ account, you can do so from My Settings → Account → Delete Account. Before deleting, consider downloading a copy of your data from My Settings → Account → Export My Data. This gives you a local archive of your inspection history in case you need it in the future.
